At Align Fitness, our sports performance training programs are built around a movement-based approach, focusing on optimizing movement quality, speed, strength, and power to enhance athletic performance and reduce injury risk. Each athlete’s strength and conditioning program is customized through individualized assessments, offered in both 1-on-1 and semi-private training settings (max 3 athletes per group). Emphasizing long-term athletic development, we equip each athlete with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to maximize their potential and compete at their highest level.
Our Athlete Training Process: Every athlete begins with a comprehensive consultation, including goal setting, a full injury history review, and performance testing. Our sports performance assessment measures essential athletic qualities, including:
- Functional Movement Screen for injury prevention and mobility analysis
- Vertical Jump Height to assess explosive power
- 5-10-5 Agility Test for multi-directional speed evaluation
- 30-Yard Sprint to measure sprint speed
- Lower and Upper Body Strength assessments
- Reactive Agility and Decision-Making Drills using Blaze Pods for game-ready reflex training
First 3 Sessions
At Align Fitness, we emphasize athlete education to maximize training outcomes and performance longevity. Our sports performance process begins with personalized, one-on-one coaching, gradually offering the option to transition to a semi-private training setting with a maximum of three athletes per session.
During the first three sessions, athletes are trained in foundational techniques for sports performance and injury prevention. They learn how to effectively engage their core and utilize their body for optimal movement. These sessions focus on efficient warm-ups and mastering proper movement techniques across various exercises. This foundational sports performance training helps athletes build a strong base to progress safely in both sports and athletic performance settings, significantly reducing injury risk and improving long-term results.
Long-Term Athletic Development
Following the initial three foundational sessions, athletes at Align Fitness can continue with personalized one-on-one coaching or transition into our semi-private sports performance training sessions. In the semi-private setting, athletes are grouped with others of similar skill levels, ensuring focused and tailored training for all participants.
Each session is carefully structured to advance long-term athletic development and includes:
- Specific Warm-Up Routines: Designed to prepare the body for peak performance and reduce injury risk.
- Movement Skills Training: Emphasizing agility, balance, and control to enhance athletic capabilities.
- Plyometric Exercises: Building explosive power to improve speed and reaction times.
- Multi-Directional Agility Drills: Developing quick changes in direction and dynamic control.
- Strength and Power Training: Targeted exercises for strength gains and overall power, essential for athletic success.
By focusing on each athlete’s long-term athletic development, we provide progressive training that builds strength, agility, and resilience, allowing athletes to reach and sustain their peak performance.
